Support Capes

The use of the knowledge and technologies induced by scientific computing in the domain of healthcare implies new challenges in terms of the formation of human resources and its continuous updating given the typical short period of time between the scientific development and its corresponding technological deployment. This concern is present among the researchers that compose the INCT-MACC proposal. In this way, the technologies and tools developed and incorporated to the project should also focus on contributing to the formation and updating of professionals from both the healthcare and the technological areas involved in the project.

It is important to highlight that this is already happening. Indeed, counting with financial support from CAPES (Called Procad 2007) a Procad project called “Cooperative Network for Data Analysis and Computational Modeling in Bioengineering” has been implemented under the coordination of Prof. Gilson Giraldi (LNCC), also a member of INCT MACC. This cooperative network is focused on the formation of human resources among the participating institutions: LNCC, UEFS (Feira de Santana, Bahia), FEI (São Bernardo do Campo, SP), and UFRN (Natal, Rio Grande do Norte). The project started in 2016 and should last until 2021.
